Please do not enter children's full names. Sharing an age is optional — prefer not to say is the default and completely fine.

How TacTacGo uses different devices

TacTacGo can use different devices in different roles. You do not need every role to sign up, but this helps us understand your setup.

Tablet: The main child-facing device. This is where the child sees their routine, completes tasks, earns rewards, and views images. For the first internal beta, an Android tablet is required.

Parent Phone: The grown-up's phone that keeps you in the loop with your child. You can approve check-ins for certain tasks, get gentle updates, and stay connected to how the routine is going. Grown-ups also use it to set up routines and manage rewards.

Alarm Phone: An optional bedside device that can help with wake-up alarms. This can be an old Android phone. It does not need to be perfect: a weak battery, cracked screen, or older phone may still be useful if it can stay plugged in and connect to Wi-Fi.

This can be an old phone with a weak battery, cracked screen, or other cosmetic problems, as long as it can stay plugged in, connect to Wi-Fi, and run the app. We have had success using a Pixel 3A and newer budget phone Samsung A16 for example.

Home Wi-Fi

For the best testing experience, the devices should usually be on the same home Wi-Fi network. If you are not sure, that's okay — we can help later.

Wi-Fi is used locally between your family's devices. No child data is ever sent to the internet — ever.

Testing fit and expectations

Early testing does not need to be perfect. Even a short note about what worked or what was confusing can be very helpful.
